Polymer Clay Decor- 70+ Free Idea Polymer Clay Decoration How To Make Cups, New 2021

I recently found a recipe for homemade polymer clay and, as it only included four common household ingredients, I decided to try it. My kids love the land, so I tried dozens of different recipes, and I wasn’t too impressed by any of the air-drying varieties we tried. They have always been too fragile, too fragile, too soft or difficult to manipulate. We use numerous combinations of ingredients, but we haven’t found a winning combination yet. This recipe promised to be dry, strong, solid and pure white, so it sounded promising.

  1. 3/4 Cup Glue School
  2. 1 cup cornstarch
  3. 2 teaspoons of baby oil
  4. 2 teaspoons lemon juice

Mix four ingredients in a saucepan and heat to medium-low heat, stirring constantly. After approximately 5-10 minutes, the consistency will change from liquid to semi-solid, which resembles mashed potatoes. Remove from heat and knead the clay for 2-3 minutes. It is better to knead the clay when it is still hot, but be careful not to burn it! Use immediately or store in a plastic bag in the refrigerator until you need it.

Use cut-off markers to trim small shapes and use a toothpick to make a small hole in the object if you plan to use it for jewelry or hang it. Allow to dry completely for 2-3 days. I performed a small batch-drying test in our oven and baked parts at 175 degrees for 2 hours before allowing them to continue drying at room temperature during the night. It worked perfectly! This recipe of clay has fulfilled all its promises: strong, dry, hard and stable. Seriously, I never buy dry clay again in the store. Was amazing.
